Concentrations

Automotive Manufacture

This concentration is facilitating the students who have interest in vehicle manufacture. They will learn the fundamentals in hybrid electric, hybrid hydraulic and electric vehicle engineering, power conversion, vehicle dynamics, energy/fuel efficiency up to finite element analysis. The goal in this concentration is to generate the graduate of mechanical engineering who are able to design, calculate all electrical-mechanical components and also manufacture and assembly the vehicles. Currently we are developing Electric Vehicle as one of our main research. The courses in this concentration will support you to develop engineering skills and knowledge to design and built a vehicle.

 

Materials Forming

There are so many experts in material engineering at Mechanical Engineering President University. In this concentration, you will learn how to develop new material and to develop methods for material processing. This concentration is focusing on materials science-based approach to nanotechnology, leveraging advances in materials metrology and synthesis which have been developed in support of micro-fabrication research. The goals in this concentration are to investigate and develop Materials with better structure at the nano-scale which often has unique optical, electronic, or mechanical properties.

 

Energy Conversion

Energy is yet big problem in Indonesia. Energy Conversion concentration at ME is focused on the development of renewable energy technology for power generation, air conditioning, sustainable buildings and sustainable transportation. Upon the completion of Thermal-Fluid Engineering series courses (Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Heat-Mass Transfer), this concentration delivers advanced science and technology of energy conversion related. Besides, the source of energy will be discussed, followed by energy conversion machinery or technology. The goal is students are expected to develop their own energy project.

 

Mechatronics

Mechatronics is the synergistic integration of mechanical, electrical & control, and computer technologies in the design of complex products and processes. The goals from this concentration are focuses on complementary students knowledge in developing sensors and transducers, signal conditioning, measurement systems, pneumatic and hydraulic activation systems and programmable logic controller applications. In this concentration, students will learn to develop controlled mechanical systems such as automation (hydraulic & pneumatic, PLC), robotics system, etc. Currently, we are developing 3D printers and supports the Electric Vehicle Project.
